If you are an elephant lover, Tarangire is the place for you. Known as the “Land of Elephants”, Tarangire is famous for its large herd of elephants. It gets its name from the Tarangire River that runs through the park. Tarangire is a huge park where almost all of the Big Five live, except the rhino. There is an abundance of vegetation and wildlife.

The park got its name from the Tara River in the park. Tarangire National Park is very popular with many elephants and other animals like lions, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, leopards etc. The park covers an area of ​​2,850 square kilometers. The Tara River is used as a water source by animals. There are also very large baobab trees in Tarangire National Park that have lived there for many years.
