You might have heard of the Serengeti in Tanzania and today you will get to experience it! . ‘Serengeti’ is a Maasai word that means ‘Endless Plain’ as it represents a vast plain that goes on and on towards the horizon. It is about 14,763 square kilometers and consists of three parts; The Northern, Southern and Central (Seronera) parts. Serengeti is known for the existence of The Circle of Life as demonstrated by The Great Migration. You will then leave the Lion’s Paw with lunch boxes  and head over to the Serengeti plains for a game drive.

In the central part of Serengeti, you will enjoy the best experience as it is the heart of the Serengeti plains. It is famous for the great wildebeest crossing every year whereby wildebeests move from the Maasai Mara game Reserve in Kenya to Serengeti through the Mara River in the months of September to January or early February.

If you are interested in seeing big cats; then the Central Serengeti is the place for you. It is filled kopjes and rocky surfaces;therefore,  it is a resting place for the predators. The Seronera is also a good place to get on a Hot Air Balloon and experience the African sunrise as the animals co-exist in the horizon. You will experience a ‘Lion King’ moment as you take in this unforgettable view!

You will be staying in Sametu where you will have access to a beautiful view of the Seronera plains. Enjoy the day in the beautiful plains, and then recharge and recenter in the beautiful Sametu Lodge, as you enjoy dinner and overnight stay!
