You will arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, and proceed to the Immigration desk for a VISA Stamp. Before leaving the desk, make sure your passport is correctly stamped. Your safari guide will then welcome you with a sign board that has your names on it. Our safari guides have gone through COVID 19 standard procedure courses and they are all vaccinated, and they will follow all the protocols. You will then leave the airport and head to Melia Hotel Arusha for dinner and your overnight stay.
To minimize driving time, it is advisable to take a flight from Arusha to the Northern Serengeti. Why the Northern Serengeti? After the heavy rains in April and May, in July the ground begins to dry again, and green grass and water becomes scarce. Consequently, large herds of wildebeests accompanied by zebras begin to search for water and green grass. At this time of the year, most of them will be found in the Grumenti and Mara river areas. Traveling between mid-July to October gives you a chance to see the river crossing. Imagine seeing thousands of wildebeest singing a song of solidarity while crossing the river!
The flight will leave Arusha at 9:00am and arrive in the Serengeti at 11:00am. In Serengeti, your guide will be eagerly waiting show you the beauty of Tanzania. Your guide will then take you on a game drive on your way to the hotel for lunch. After lunch and a little rest, you will go for another game drive in the afternoon. You will then return for dinner and your overnight stay at Mara under the canvas.
After breakfast, you will have a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park. You can always modify your daily agenda by discussing it with your safari guide . t You can also leave the hotel with a packed lunch or have a hot lunch at the hotel. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world, it is known for its unparalleled natural beauty and scientific value.It alo has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years.The early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Hence, the patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves. During this part of the journey, all meals and your overnight stay will be provided at Mara under the canvas.
After breakfast, you will head out with a packed lunch for your morning game drive in the northern Serengeti, Thereafter, you will proceed with a game drive to Central Serengeti. After lunch, you will proceed with the game drive and explore this beautiful park which has been crowned as the bestNational Park in Africa! You will then arrive at Kubukubu Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.
It is time to say goodbye again to the lodge staff and you will leave with a packed lunch for the morning game drive. You will then proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. You will arrive in the late afternoon and relax before dinner. All meals and your overnight stay will be at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. The Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is located on the crater’s rim and it will give you a very eautiful view of the crater. Enjoy the scenic view!
Today you will have the option of making a stop at Olduvai George or Masai bomma. Please, let the guides know if you woul like to explore the area. In fact, Olduvai Gorge is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world; it has proven invaluable in furthering the world’s understanding of early human evolution.
The crater is very beautiful and animals are more active early in the morning. You can decide to have breakfast at the hotel or depart with a packed breakfast and packed lunch. Please, let your safari guide know what you would like to do.
Today you will descend into the crater which is 600 meters and experience the true spirit of Africa, the Africa of bygone days! You will explore the crater which is the permanent home of numerous wildlife populations. It has as Africa’s “Garden of Eden”. From the comfort of your 4 x 4 vehicle crafted exclusively for game viewing, you will have an opportunity to spot the Big Five – the elephant, the buffalo, the leopard, the black mane lion and the rare black rhino. You will also see hyenas, jackals, flamingos and the yawning hippos. Get ready to enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater close to the hippo pool. There will also be an early evening drive to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Maramboi is located close to lake Manyara, it is a beautiful place to stay as harmless animals like zebras, , warthogs, wildebeest and many other animals often frequent the lodge as they eat grass . You will like this place!
After breakfast, you will head to Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch. The park is beautiful and has a lot of baobab trees and elephants. You will have a full day game drive in the park, enjoy your lunch at the picnic site. Thereafter, in the evening, you will drive back to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
