Prideland Safaris welcomes you to Tanzania! When you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport, head over to the Immigration desk to get your VISA Stamp. Don’t worry, we will have someone waiting for you at the Arrival zone with a banner with your names on it. Please, make sure your passport is stamped correctly before leaving the desk. Once everyone is ready, we will head over to Arusha Melia Lodge which will be your first accommodation . Let the adventure begin!
After breakfast, the car will be ready for you to head to Arusha airport for a flight to Northern Serengeti at 9am. Why should you go north? After heavy rains in April and May, the ground starts to dry up in July. This leads to a scarcity of green grass and water Hence, the wildebeests and zebras start looking for new spots to graze and drink.
Most of them will be hanging out around the Grumenti and Mara river areas. If you’re there between mid-July and early November, you might even get to see them crossing the river! Picture thousands of wildebeests singing their hearts out while making their way across the river. You will make it to Serengeti around 11am and your guide will be waiting to show you around Tanzania. After a game drive, you will stop for lunch and a little break before heading out again in the afternoon. Then you will head back to Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge for dinner and a good night’s sleep.
After breakfast, we will head out for a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park. Don’t forget, you can always consult with the safari guide about the day’s agenda. Feel free to bring a packed lunch if you think you might get hungry or we can grab a hot meal at the hotel. We are flexible and will work with you!
Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world! It has some seriously stunning natural beauty and is super important in the scientific arena.In addition to that,it has one of the biggest concentrations of plains and plains of game in the entire continentThe Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on the planet. In fact,the climate, vegetation, and animals have barely changed in a million years. For example, the way creatures live, die, adapt, and migrate has been going on foreverLastly, we will eat and end the day at Kuria Hills Lodge.
After breakfast, we will head out on another game drive in the northern Serengeti and then make our way to the central part of the park. We’ll stop in the middle of nowhere for lunch and then keep exploring this amazing park that has been named the best in Africa. We will end the day at Lemala Nanyukie Lodge for dinner and spend the night there..
Today will be a full day spent exploring the central Serengeti, so remember to bring a packed lunch so we can maximize our time.You will then see why Serengeti is the best National Park around and why you made the right choice to visit it! We will be staying at Lemala Nanyukie Lodge for dinner and sleep there. If you are feeling adventurous, we could also do a half day walking safari in the eastern Serengeti (extra charge for this portion of the safari)
It will be time to say goodbye to the camp staff, get some packed lunch for the morning game drive and then proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. You will arrive in the late afternoon and relax before dinner. You will eat and spend the night at Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Lodge. Lemala Ngorongoro is beautifully set in a delightful ancient acacia forest very close to the Ngorongoro crater rim. This is the best location for an easy drive to the crater. This is important because African animals are more active in the early mornings and late afternoon. Therefore, Lemala location will give you a great safari experience while you are in Ngorongoro.
Tip:You can choose to visit Olduvai George as well or Masai boma, let us know if you want to explore these areas.
Olduvai George is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world; it has proven invaluable in furthering the world’s understanding of early human evolution (extra charges for this portion of the journey)
The Ngorongoro Crater is remarkably beautiful, and the fauna within it exhibit heightened activity during the early hours of the day. You may opt to have breakfast at the hotel or get packed meals for the day, but it is imperative to consult with the safari guide beforehand.
Today’s itinerary involves a descent of approximately 600 meters into the Crater, where you will be immersed in the authentic African experience of the yesteryears. The Crater, renowned as Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” serves as a permanent habitat for a diverse wildlife population. You will have the opportunity to spot the Big Five – The Elephant, The Buffalo, The Leopard, The Black Maned Lion, and The rare Black Rhino – as well as other animals such as hyenas, jackals, flamingos, and hippos. The game drive will be conducted in a 4 x 4 vehicle, exclusively designed for optimal game viewing.
A delightful picnic lunch will be served in the heart of the ancient volcanic crater near a hippo pool. In the early evening, guests will return to the Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
The Ngorongoro Crater, recognized as one of the seven wonders of the world, is a fortuitous sight for anyone who has had the opportunity to witness it. A walking safari presents an exceptional opportunity to explore the Ngorongoro beyond the crater itself. Accompanied by an armed ranger, the walk commences after breakfast and lasts for approximately two to three hours.
The walk offers a chance to observe footprints, plants, flowers, and animals, which are among the most captivating aspects of this experience. Rest assured, your safety is our utmost priority, and many people have completed this walk without incident. Following the walk, you will return to the vehicle and proceed to Mto wa Mbu for a cultural tour. Mto wa Mbu is located beyond Karatu town and offers you a chance to visit some banana plantations and explore other activities. A local lunch will be prepared for you to enjoy. After lunch, you will proceed to Tarangire National Park and arrive at Mpingo Ridge before sunset to relish the breathtaking views of this paradise in Tarangire. All meals are included.
Your initial morning in Tarangire National Park presents an exceptional opportunity for elephant enthusiasts. Known as the “home of elephants,” Tarangire is renowned for its substantial elephant herds. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which traverses its way through the park.
Tarangire is a vast wildlife reserve that boasts of nearly all of the big five animals, with the exception of the rhinoceros. The park is abundant in flora and fauna, and the Tara River serves as a vital water source for the park’s diverse animal population. Tarangire National Park is a popular destination for observing elephants, as well as other wildlife such as lions, wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, and leopards. The park spans an area of 2,850 km² and is home to ancient baobab trees that have stood for many years. You may enjoy a full day game drive, with the option of a packed lunch or returning to the lodge for a hot meal. Afterward, you may relax before embarking on another game drive in the afternoon. All meals and overnight accommodations are provided at Lemala Mpingo Ridge.
After breakfast, we shall embark on a game drive in Tarangire National Park and we will have packed lunches. It is our sincere hope that you will have captured ample photographs of the magnificent big five by this point. Later in the afternoon, we leave the park and head to Arusha.
Upon arrival, we will extend a warm welcome to you our esteemed guests at Haradali Home, which will be your home away from home. Our residence’s design was inspired by its picturesque location and our desire to share it with you. You will have an opportunity to visit various sites in Arusha, do acoffee tour, observe the daily routines of typical Arushan residents, and explore historical landmarks that offer insight into the city’s past. In the evening, Haradali home will accommodate you once again.
Following your unforgettable sojourn in Tanzania, the moment has arrived for you to return to your abode and reflect on all you have encountered. Today you will eat breakfast and enjoy your last few hours in Tanzania. We will then arrange your transport to the airport so you can have ample time before your scheduled flight.
